Oh dear…Fyre Festival 2 is officially scheduled for April 25-28, 2025!?

Founder Billy McFarland announced the details on September 9, stating that the event will take place on a private island near Mexico, though the specific location is still undisclosed. McFarland emphasized that the festival will feature existing accommodations and dining options.

This time, he aims to enhance the experience beyond music, mentioning potential activities like live karate combat. McFarland has already sold 100 $500 tickets, with prices ranging from $1,400 to $1.1 million for luxury experiences, which may include yacht access and adventure activities like scuba diving.

Despite past controversies—including McFarland’s conviction for fraud—he remains optimistic about attracting talent, hoping to pivot the negative perceptions surrounding Fyre Festival into a successful annual event. He humorously noted that cheese sandwiches would be on the menu, referencing the infamous meal from the original festival, but promises they will be high quality and priced accordingly.

Billy was quoted after being reminded of the “cheese sandwiches” from the last attempt:

“We will have cheese sandwiches,” McFarland said. “They’re going to be super expensive, too. We’re going to make them, like, really good. That’ll be the highest-priced food item, I think.”

Can you smell the sarcasm?
