Alberta Health Services Launches Annual “Toys for Tickets” Campaign

FORT MCMURRAY, Alberta— Alberta Health Services (AHS) has launched its annual “Toys for Tickets” campaign. The annual program offers motorists a festive alternative to resolve parking fines accrued during the holiday season.

Running from November 8 to December 20, the program allows anyone who receives an AHS parking ticket to donate a new, unwrapped toy instead of paying the fine. The toys must be valued at $25 or more, suitable for children aged newborn to 17, and still in their original packaging. Recommended donations include books, art supplies, science kits, electronics, and Lego sets.

“We are thrilled to continue this tradition, which brings joy to children and families while making the holidays brighter for so many,” said Nick Ternovatsky, Director of Parking, AHS. “Last year, we collected more than 870 toys provincewide, nearly doubling the donations from the previous year.”

Donations can be dropped off at any AHS parking office across the province. All toys collected will be distributed to local children’s charities, which ensure they reach families in need during the holiday season.
