AHS Toys for Tickets Campaign Collects Nearly 1,200 Gifts for Families in Need
Alberta Health Services (AHS) is celebrating another successful year of its annual Toys for Tickets program. Now in its sixth year, the holiday initiative allows individuals with parking tickets at AHS facilities to donate a new, unwrapped toy instead of paying the fine. This year AHS collected 1,150 toys for Alberta children.
The collected gifts are distributed to local charities across the province who deliver them to families struggling to afford holiday gifts in for Christmas.
Mark Van Damme, Manager of Parking Services for AHS, expressed gratitude for the program’s widespread support, saying it has brightened the holiday season for both AHS staff and the children receiving the toys.
Since its inception, the Toys for Tickets program has helped thousands of Alberta families celebrate the holidays, continuing to bring joy to communities during the festive season.
